Photos NOT OK to edit
Hello,

I'm new here, and recently joined this and one other forum. I've been enjoying photography as a casual hobby for the last 6 years or so, using only point and shoot. However, that's about to change as I'm looking to buy my first DSLR.

So, I have a question to start things off. I'm looking at the Nikon D5000, and have seen some very positive reviews on it. I like it over the D3000 because it has video capability, which I always love to have handy. Its also a good price, as I can't afford the D90. With that being said, aside from the very positive reviews, I noticed there was a recall in Summer of 2009. Being now March, I am wondering if the issue has been resolved and if it is now safe to buy? Looking at possibly buying at Ace Photo, a local store here. http://acephoto.net/Static.aspx?titl...nstant+Rebates

Thanks very much!

Also, here is an outdated website that shows some of my photos via a couple of Nikon Coolpix point/shoots over the last few years, mostly 2005-2008. http://smophotos.blogspot.com/

Thanks!

Not aware of the recall but they are not going to continue shipping their product after a recall until they resolve the issue...
