D7100 vs. 70D comparison video... What do you think?

My opinion of the video: I thought it was a fair comparison. Definitely is a 'shocker' when it comes to moire

Yes, a good video. I watched the entire thing, start to finish. The moire issue was a surprise, yes.

So I watched the video and my first impression is WOW what a big step both Canon and Nikon took with these 2 cameras.
I will not hide the fact that since I own the D7100 I was cheering to my camera but I think at the bottom line both cameras are so close that either one will make its user happy.
The Canon is probably the better for video taking but saying that since I bought my D7100 I never even tried its video because I don't care about that, for my videos we use only my Canon G15.
Just like Derrel I was surprised by the moire results but frankly I didnt care because.........I don't use my DSLR as a video camera, but it was nice to know the D7100 is not suffering from this issue due to it getting rid of the AA filter.

I think he missed something at the end and an important piece of info which is the D7100 (just like the D7000) has a 2 slot SD card while the 70D has only one.
He said the D7100 JPEG pics are double the size of the Canon, well with 2 SD cards it will not change anything for the pro user and for RAW shooters the 2 slot is an advantage.

But again I think overall both cameras are a technical marvel and overall are both winners, differences are too small for the stills shooters.

Oh and BTW I LOVE MY D7100 :heart:
