Well, I have finally made the jump into studio lighting, after being able to pick up 5 alien bee 800's for less than $600.00 with tons of extras. Here is my first portrait attempt, just using what you see is what you get technique! Critique welcome and thanks for taking a look!

Thanks. I have been wanting to get into more studio lines of work, I was just too hesitant to pull the trigger on the lighting. I picked up all of my equipment at an estate auction where a home business was. None of the equipment had been taken out of its original packaging, brand new all for under 600. Included Soft boxes, stands, backgrounds and 3 other sets of lights I haven't the slightest what I am going to do with them yet. So I just couldn't pass it up, and figured it would make an "ok" beginners start.
