So at one point i decided to hunt the wild beasts living in our house to practice shooting quickly and getting familiar with the settings and button. cause I'd eventually like to try wildlife.

Then the cat attacked the dog with one of those million smacks to the head that only cats can do. If the shot only was wider.

A lot of your photos in your first post have the flash-in-your-face kinda look. Try bouncing or diffusing the flash.

And your second post...it would've been better to see the whole wooden figure in status along with the 'HOPE', Or if you're going for shallow DOF, maybe try having the focus on 'HOPE'? But I think it would be a lot better if the whole thing was in focus.

Hopefully the DSLR has been treating you well!

Thanks for helping me,

Ya the only flash i have is the pop up stock one and it seems pretty harsh. But i dont know it i can till or defuse it.

A better flash is on my list of next purchases.

great shots, and congrats on the new camera! # 4 seems a bit out of focus, just by the nose area. what kind of camera you got?

congrats on the camera. looks like they were all shot in auto mode. experiment with different settings. seems like you like portrait shots so try shooting in aperture priority mode.
