Day 4 C&C on flower

Been posting in Landscapes but this didn't really fit there (hence the day 4). Honest opinions welcome, always striving to get better.

Shot with D90 and 18-55mm kit lens

Wow, that is a beautiful flower, the gradient is very nice too.

I love the photo, two things I would suggest though:
1. Offset the flower the the left or right of the photo, rule of thirds.
2. This could be fixed if you had used rule of thirds, the little bit of green vegitation on the left vertical line bugs me and takes my attention away from the flower.
