These have been born from an uprooted tree's root-ball.

Funny looking Mushrooms........

That's because they are on the last half of their life

I watched an awesome ted talk recently on the ways mushrooms could potentially save the world! It was pretty phenomenal information to ponder. And here I thoughts mushrooms were just an entrance fee for wonderland.

I think I prefer the focus choice in shot 2! Looks like a successful set. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Jazzie! I grew up a few decades ago, so I've heard there are other uses for mushrooms

A couple more from the root-ball...

That explains my appearance also.

Macro-shrooms Looking good Dean

[RowdyRay]

Nice shots. How you liking the new camera?

[Dean_Gretsch]

Thanks, Ray. I like it lots. It is much faster than the SL1. It is also heavier, so I bought a harness to use with the 170-500 Sigma. It was getting a bit painful on the neck, lol.

You don't say?

Glad to hear it. Which harness did you go with?

[Dean_Gretsch]

For now, just a cheap one I found on Ebay. I wasn't sure how I would like them, since I had never used one.

These are all nice. I like these a lot. Getting low and shooting in the 'shrooms face rteally brings me into the image. Good job.

[Dean_Gretsch]

Thanks, Gary. Luckily, this was a pretty big root ball and I didn't have to get very low, lol.
