Decomposing...

So this was my 2nd attempt at “staging” a shot of a dead fly inside our Venus fly trap (somewhat recently acquired...side note; these things are kinda high maintenance)

Got a new flash setup to test and the first planted fly was swallowed by the plant before I was ready. “Hand-feeding” is not really how these plants work so I was surprised that one was snapped up so quick. This one however, apparently did not interest the plant.

Another learning experience (still exploring macro) was how nasty a decomposing fly looks [emoji1785].
