I like the composition of the BW one but like the color in the second shot because it adds the nastiness of the blood and flesh that you cannot detect in the BW shot. Wicked.

My thoughts exactly - very nice composition in the B+W and perfect DOF, but it lacks the shock value of being able to see the blood in the colour version.

Interestin, I have one of a decomposing coyote, if anyone wants to see.

Wow, the color one really shows you how fresh it is. I think I like that one the most.
