I think although the photo didn't get much of an acknowleged reaction, it did do what I intended- disturb with the foreground motion.
It was one of the wierdest things I've seen go on with a Joshua tree. The tree was just arched over spanning a good 15 feet or so, wobbling in the wind. Made me a bit queasy.
I kind of like how this picture was taken. The out of focus foreground paired with the prickly feel of the tree make the picture turbulent in a strangely composed way. It is kind of unsettling at first but I like the way all the aspects of the photo create a similar feeling.
