detail from old log

I too like the details I find in old logs, but find it all really hard to capture.

I think the log in this one looks a little too flat for me. There is some nice detail there, but it looks almost 2-dimensional here. I'm not quite sure what to do about it - it's just what I see here.

This is a small piece that is pretty much flat. I was just interested in the outline shape and the textures, but I guess they don't really tickle anyone else.
