I am not sure what you were going for, but it is just a nice snapshot of part of a temple and does nothing for me. Maybe if you had tried to highlight the detail in the structure on the left side - don't know.

I'm with Western, just at a quick glance I know I could probably sit at this place all day and take shots, gorgeous location!

I think where it falls short for me is there is a lot going on but not in a great arrangement, the 3 lines on the right top are wonderful but the 4 at the bottom leads my eye right into the grey base of the deliciously detailed object there.... but the grey base holds my attention. The object on the left seems too small and tucked into the corner, it loses the fact that it is separate from the main building partially because it leads my eye into the detail of the building top left. Perhaps moving left (if possible) so the object on he pillar had the large curved area of the building as it's background since it is much simpler and won't eat it up like the background does now.

Gawd I hope that made sense! Probably should have finished my coffee before writing!

This may be one of those shots where I have internalized the experience so much that it acts as an aide memoire for me and doesn't do anything for people who weren't there.

(fyi, this was in the Grand Palace in Bangkok, temp approximately 1000 degrees C, sun like a hammer and a huge crowd.)

The one with the incense works great. The temple shot... not so much. You need to either be closer of further back. You're in a middle zone which is hard to get a decent sense of scale and dimension.
