Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Did a shoot of a friends cars down on the local industrial estate, looking for any way I can improve on these shots. Automotive photography is something I am very interested in and really enjoy. I don't charge for it, just do it as a favour.

Looking for any ways to improve, whether that be composition, lighting (used 2 led torches), positioning, post processing etc. Help is very much appreciated!

#1 Not a particularly good background, although the front of the car is shown well. Tilted ever so slightly. Trashy foreground is a distraction.
#2 This shot has the highest potential. I like the background light, but you need more light on the car, particularly the upper portions. Also frame tighter to the car.
#3 Again, frame tighter to the car, more light on the car, and avoid those bright lights in the background.
#4 Needs more light on the car. Frame much closer to the car. The starburst filter is o.k., but the lights are too near the car for good separation. When composing this shot, try to balance where the streetlights are in relation to where the car is.

Thank you very much for your comments, it's a lot for me to think about! It wasn't a starburst filter though, it was a narrower aperture.

any flash used on these?

1. the straight frontal shot seem boring and maybe too much pavement in the frame.
2. i like it, seems like a flash was used and left a harsh light on the headlight area.
3. my fav, but the car looks under exposed on my screen
4. still looks underexposed and I am not a fan of the crop....

No, no flash used, they were all lit with hand held led torches.

Any more tips on lighting the car with torches? What to do? What not to do? I have thought about buying a couple of them work site lights, the square ones that you can put on the floor or mount on a tripod? I can get them for under £10 each... Thoughts?
