I am no where near professional, but I would like to comment, because maybe my interpretation isn't right.
I actually like the image quality of them all - I like the last one - nice and crisp & his hard expression draws me in. I don't have that same interest with the "one" photo. The "tearful" photo doesn't have a mood - she looks like she is just itching her eye...so if you didn't call it 'tearful' - i would not have known. I like the top one - very crisp and nice color. I agree with what another poster said, they seem a bit tight. But, I do think you exposed them all beautifully.

Had you not mentioned 'political rally' I probably would not have guessed that was what was going on.

The tightness is a good point, I didn't really realize it until after I got home. I had my 70-300 on, so I couldn't get that wide. I was fascinated by the faces of everyone who was there, which is what I focused on mostly. The widest-angle lens I currently have is the 35mm, but I definitely want to snag a UWA lens and try this again, this time capturing more of the crowd/space.

Thanks for the feedback!

Technical quality very vivid. But expectation was people yelling, screaming, holding signs up, giving you death stares, etc.

But like others have said, wouldn't have known it was a rally. #1 looks like people standing for the National Anthem at a ballgame.

As it's a political rally/demonstration, I think what's missing in there for me are the signs telling me what it's about. The context of "stop the war" isn't there. Which war? What people are there for seems as important as the people themselves. Just my $0.02 though.
