That is stunning. What is the "new thing" you are trying?

I like it! Did you stack? What were the settings?
That is a 50 image focus stack. Nikon Z8 + MC 105mm. ISO 64 + 1/200th + Godox MF-12 Speedlights (x2).

Helicon Focus did a superb job with the stack and Luminar Neo was used to remove and replace the background that was AI Generated

This is the first time I have used an AI generated background.

Glad you liked it.

Wonderfully done!

Thanks for the compliments.

The pic of the setup above was taken during the process but I ended up having the 2 small speedlights about 50 Cm (18 Inches) away and slightly above the flower. I used 2 bits of white paper towel as diffusers as the Godox supplied white plastic is useless.

The first attempt was using TTL but this did not really work well at all. Waayyyy too dark. I switched to manual and set the flashes at 1/8th power and adjusted the aperture down as far as it would go, F3.2.

The Focus Shift built into the Z8 was set as follows:

This pic took a lot of work but I learned a lit from the process.

It looks much better than my first attempt. I thought about the 2" then realized, ah yes, much faster and the flashes won't have time to cycle for the next shot.
