digital exposure

i use the fuji finepix s2, i find that the correct exposure is always 1/2 to 1 stop underexposed compared to my light meter...
so i have to overexpose everything but approx. 1 stop. i can't figure out how to fix it! help!

I have almost the same problems with my fuji s5000 and don't know what to do with that... In most cases I use fully manual mode or bracketing

thank you so much for your reply!! i have been bracketing, but i shoot weddings quite a bit... it is hard to bracket moments! let me know if you figure anything else out, please.

Check your manual, it's quite common for cameras to have a way to offset the exposure by some increment.
