My first post here and I am really new to all of this

I have a Sony Alpha 65 and the images I get out of the camera are 6000 x 4000. I'm frustrated using Photoshop to prepare the image because I can't get it to an 8x10 print size without cropping it...unless, I'm missing something.

The picture is a model head to toe and I need the entire picture to go 8x10...is this possible?

Thanks,

Jeff

8x10 is a 4:5 aspect ratio, whereas the camera shoots a 3:2 aspect ratio image....sooooooo....some pixels have gotta' go un-used to make an 8x10 print. Some of the original image MUST be cropped if the desired print is an 8x10 print with image all the way, edge-to-edge.

You're missing that they are different shapes.
8 x 10 (4:5 aspect ratio) is closer to being a square than 6000 x 4000 pixels (2:3 aspect ratio) which would be an 8 x 12.
To use the 6000 x 4000 photo to make an 8x10 print you need to crop 1000 pixels off the 6000 px side of the photo so you have a 5000 x 4000 pixel photo.
