dirt on my lens

hi, i just bought a film slr camera. it has dirt inside the glass lens which looks similar to petroleum jelly?! hope it's not fungus :shock:, any idea how to clean my lens?

If it's inside the lens, it's probably a very involved process to open it and clean it. Not something for a weekend do-it-yourself-er. You could find a repair place and ask for a quote, but you might be better off just getting a new/different lens...especially if this isn't a top quality lens to begin with.
