DIY section?

[WTF?]

i dunno about anyone else, but i love seeing things people have made themselves on a budget. how about a section where people can post their makeshift/modded equipment and the process of construction, and share ideas and whatnot?

In the past these sorts of things tended to fit into the equipment section:

or would tag along with a photo in a photo section as applicable. It's certainly an interesting idea and would be a usefull pool to gather together a collection of the sites custom constructions for different things - my only reservation is that we have a lot in the list already and - sadly - many sections are not getting much attention these days (infact beginners section is about the only current section with much active life to it these days)

I agree with Overread, the concept holds value and with a little searching it would not prove too hard to find a sufficient number of existing threads pertaining to DIY repairs and equipment to fill it with, but it would get little to no activity after that.
