What's new

Do you have the time?

i disagree, i think its about the subject AND his clocks. I wuldnt liek it if he was looking at the clocks probably. also the black and white is best here, just bump the contrast.

I agree to disagree.
Actually, you KINDA agreed with me in the above statement. It is about the clocks. It is about him.

Nowhere in the equation is the photographer.

I like him in the picture more with him facing the direction of the camera.

It gives off the sense "these are my clocks and I'm proud to have collected them." You wouldn't get this feeling had he been engaged with a clock. Without him in the photo, it's just a room with a bunch of clocks and has no meaning or connection to anything else.

Other than the rim hitting his hair, I've got no complaints.

On a sidenote, the first thought in my head when seeing this picture was "fall back and spring forward must be horrible!" :lmao:

Richard, after seeing the color, I'm certain I prefer the B&W, but as someone suggested, boost the contrast a little or a lot. I personally think you have a multitude of options in this room as have been suggested already. The only one of mine is to possibly to beg, borrow or steal a super wide angle lens to get as much of the clocks in view as possible. I like the idea of your brother-in-law somehow interacting with the clocks because they are each intergal to the photo, dual subjects. Good luck.
