Do you keep your Boxes?

I have the box for everything I bought new, or used that came in original boxes. I don't sell a whole lot of stuff. But did sell my entire Bronica SQ collection. But outside of that I have quite a few boxes from lenses, bodies, large accessories, flashes, etc. I even have the big boxes my last set of studio lights came in. Am I a nut? Some of the boxes are well over 25 years old.

I used to save them. Now that I buy almost exclusively used camera gear, I don’t have to worry much about keeping boxes.

I save only brand new gear boxes.
Used I trash all packing, boxes etc..

I try my best to follow Marie Kondo's method of keeping tidy, and in most cases boxes for my electronics don't make the cut. I also don't have a lot of extra space, so decluttering is really important. I kept the box for my 85mm f/1.2 lens because that lens was a meaningful purchase to me, but I'm getting close to throwing that out soon if I can't find a better justification for keeping it.
The only boxes I plan to keep for anything I bought are the boxes my wands from the Chicago Harry Potter Shop came in, but that's because they're aesthetically pleasing and give me major nostalgia.

I would say that the boxes Leica cameras and lenses come in are quite beautiful. My MP240 Safari Set, came in a box with 3 drawers, all beautifully lined. The box itself was a collector’s item.. Some boxes are worth keeping..

I keep boxes and all original packing for as long as an item is in warranty, then the boxes go.

Last new camera I bought was in 1996. The box has long been recycled. Of course anything I buy now I wait till warranty over then recycle box.

I have some. Takes up a lot of space, probably for little financial advantage. When I die, it all will probably be thrown out, including many of the products. Of course, I won't be worrying about it.

Since I almost exclusively purchase used I don't get factory box's anyhow.

I have always kept them, as well as any factory stuff in them. When I sell gear, it gets a better price than the bare item.
