I'm all set to purchase a new Tokina 11-16mm for my Nikon, but everybody seems to be out of stock :grumpy:

I know Amazon has ONE, but they're charging $80 more than others. Anyone know if they're set to be back in stock everywhere else soon? I'm horribly impatient now that I've made the decision to purchase... :waiting:

I finally got it! I waited one day, and Buy.com ran out of stock... Finally picked one up new off eBay. These things went fast recently!

I had to post here to brag a little, since when I unboxed it to show my girlfriend, she said, "oh, neat" :er:

My wifes reaction was just the opposite. She said "MINE". :( :D:D It has been in "her" bag since it arrived. I can borrow it when I can find it. :er: ;)

Congrats, it's a very good lens.

I want to buy one, but it's STILL out of stock D:

I don't want to buy from an unauthorized retailer, for warranty purposes.

Im going to use part of my savings for the 70-200 VRII to purchase this before I go to Vegas at the end of the month. We are going to tour around a bit and I want to use it for landscapes. Hopefully it will perform as well for me as I have heard from others.

Hopefully, it gets back in stock! I'll need it in two weeks when I head to Hearst Castle.

Same...we are heading to a ski resort up north (Mont Tremblant) at the end of the month and I was saving up for a used two ring 80-200 but this is too good of an opportunity to pass up. I wouldn't think of going up into the mountains without a wide angle.

I have absolutely zero complaint or regrets about mine. It's already become one of my most used lenses. The only complaint I have, is with my camera body. It won't auto focus on my D5000, so I have to resort to manual focus. Not a problem when I have time to get a few shots off with various focus settings, though. When I tried it on a D90, the focus nailed every time and it was quick. Lens is tack sharp. For a third of the price of an equivalently wide Nikon, it's just as good.

I've noticed a lot of Tokina lenses seem to be out of stock. I'm wondering if they had some productions slow downs.

They just disappeared. It's out of stock everywhere except for unauthorized resellers who are selling it for 900 dollars. They're not even on craigslist anymore.

They're not listed as an authorized seller. Would I be able to get warranty?
