Does Anyone Use These Triggers?

Anyone use this or know if they word with a Nikon D3100 and a SB-600? It does say it works with the SB-600 just making sure. Different conflicting reports from members on this forums

Quite a few people do from what I've read, however I went with the RF-602's because of the consistent positive feedback/reviews, so far my experience is nothing but positive as well.

I have those. You'll have to set your flash power manually.. the flash can't do E-TTL with these. They've never failed to fire a flash for me and the range is pretty good. You can use a bunch of them at once.. I've fired 4 at the same time and it worked flawlessly.

The mount (where the receiver fastens to the coldshoe) is made of plastic and prone to breaking. I've had one break when my softbox and lightstand got knocked over by my neighbor's kid. They also have a threaded hole to accept a tripod mount (like the one in the bottom of a camera).

They're a great inexpensive way to get into off-camera flash.

i hear good reviews. but people on here keep saying it wouldnt work with what i have. I see nowhere where it says doesnt work with nikon d3100. i see its compatible with the sb-600's though. thats where the confusion came in

It will work. It's just one pin getting an electrical signal from your hotshoe that then transmits a signal to the receiver attached to your flash that tells it to fire on whatever power you have your flash set to manually.

No voodoo wizardry. It will work fine. Whoever's telling you that it won't is a douche buoy.

I have some of those too.

I use them a lot and haven't had an issue yet.

How important is it to have the e-ttl signals? now that I have seen these it may be a way to get some cheap triggers, then get some lumopro flashes

Not important at all if you don't mind manually setting your flash power.

You'll just have to switch your flash over to M and adjust everything manually.
