Does this eye cup look too big?

I can't quite tell if this eye cup looks too big for this viewfinder. When I use it, it "works" fine (not too big for my eyes). But I'm unsure if it looks off for this viewfinder. I've certainly seen bigger eye cup proportions on different applications, such as video cameras, but that may be different altogether.

From your aesthetic perspective, is it ok? Is it ok as a proportion? Ok for its era (60-70's)?

FYI, they're two mismatched parts that I put together to make it work.
