i know i know...I haven't even finished the last two donations yet...But we are moving in two weeks so...$#@$'s gotta go. less $#^! we gotta pack up. ya know?
Up for donation today is a Minolta Maxxum AF 50mm f/1.7
this lens will AF with a body with a screw drive motor.
This lens shows minor wear on the barrel, focus ring is smooth. there is a slight ring of haze around the inside edge of the front element. (as seen in the picture) It has not shown in any pictures, and it has not appeared to affect IQ, but because of that I would consider this a "bargain grade" lens as you might get from KEH with that rating. Rear element is clear. As far as the shots I have seen from it go, it still takes great pictures. Comes with front and rear lens caps.

You all know how this works at this point. (I hope)
we are DONATING this lens. It is FREE to a good/needy home, and is sent AS-IS with no guarantee or warranty, written or implied of ANY kind. we will pay shipping. continental U.S ONLY.

the criteria for getting the lens is as follows:
1: you NEED this lens, meaning you DO NOT already have this focal range or reasonably close. (my call)
(having another brand and saying you don't like it doesn't count)
2: you already have a camera capable of mounting this lens (no putting the cart before the horse)
3: you live in the continental united states (Alaska if flat rate shipping covers there)
4: been an active and productive member of the forum for at least 3 months.
(ALL rules and criteria are subject to me and my wife's discretion and may be changed and/or the donation cancelled at any time for any reason)

i will let this thread run for a week or so. If you are interested in the lens, post on THIS THREAD with your intentions for the lens,an honest gear list, and why you believe you need the lens. PM's or emails may or may not get considered.

thank you all.

-Jason

This is the lens I have been wanting for over a year, and would love to have it! I love the pictures I have seen taken with it. I will even post pics taken with it:) I have to buy one piece of equipment at a time, but that's is okay, because I know it is paid for, and I have not been able to afford it. I have a Sony A55 and it will fit perfect. Almost all my photography is offered free of cost to people whom can not afford a photographer, and this lens would be perfect for portraits, bridal shots, etc... It is such a blessing to see the smile on someone's face when they see the photos I have taken of them.

Please, consider me for the lens.
Thank you two for giving:)

I just bought this lens for my dad for Christmas! It is a fantastic little lens and I don't think he's taken it off of his camera since I got it for him. Good luck to whoever wins it!

Bump

What does Bump mean?

He's "bumping" his thread to the top if the list in the forums so others will see it. With that being said, pixdemic, you and your wife are such kind people and are doing a great deed for this community and for that o commend you.

I did the qualifications wrong: I forgot my gear list: Sony A55, 18-70mm kit lens, 70-210 Minolta lens, flash and had to take 30 mm back to get the flash. I will use the lens to photograph portraits, bridal and small weddings for many that can not afford a photographer. I am shooting a small renewal wedding the first of March for free. They get the disk and print their own pictures. That is what I plan to do with the lens.
