Got a chance to try out the lens. All of the following on a Pentax K-x:

1. Conversion in Adobe RAW, minor exposure adjustment only.


2. Crop of the above:


3. With a 14mm extension tube. Conversion with exposure adjustment only.


4. 3. With a 14mm extension tube. Conversion with exposure adjustment only.


5. Cropped picture, with adjustments.



Overall: excellent sharpness (have to get the focus right). Colors on the cooler side, a little undersaturated; typical Takumar bokeh. Solid construction and smooth operation. Gives a good minimum focusing distance with macro extension tubes, which is where I see its future use.
