C&C on composition and what not? Yes, I know I'm a bit tilted - I realized this after processing and haven't corrected. D'oh.

Bump.

An excellent example of pre-tensioned bridge elements. I like the subject, but to me concrete is harder and colder than the image conveys.
While your take on it is great and needs no further editing, I would have done it like this personally to show what I feel when I see concrete with graffiti on it.

Again, this is just my feeling and I am not implying that yours was in need of anything.
Good shots.

I am relieved that you liked it I often wonder when I touch someone else's work if they're going to see it the way I do and appreciate it or if they're going to be resentful.

The second shot is not fully realized, imo.
The colors are rather weak from the overhead sun yet seem much more impressive than the curve of the bridge which was almost certainly what you were looking at.

Converting this to B&W and lowering the luminance on the blue and the green/yellow makes for a much more dramatic look. I think.

Here's a shot at the second to realize the concrete and remove some unused spaces.

Thank you, The_Traveler. Great alternative. Texas in the fall isn't known for strong colors and direct overhead sun certainly wasn't helping. This is a great perspective that I'll remember.

Actually, I think you hit it spot-on with both of the suggestions - the unused space. In the first one, that overexposed bottom right corner wasn't sitting well with me since the beginning, but I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong with it holistically. Same thing with the second shot; the idea of cropping isn't occurring to me immediately, mainly because up until a month ago I've never used anything better than a cellphone camera and cropping on those usually leads to no good. So my mind has discarded that idea a while back. Thanks again.

Thanks, I have started seeing in wide short format since getting a new camera system. lol
In the second I also darkened the foreground foliage, bumped up the sky and brought out the details in the concrete.
Look side by side to see the differences.
