I think this is a cool image and good eye but I have to admit I don't know what I am looking at. It looks like clothing line pulleys and rope but what does it do?

This is under a bridge and there is a dam on one side and if it gets to full they open the gates which you see on the ropes and let's the water out.

I'd call it a great shot.
