I took this last summer in Taos New Mexico and even posted it here before.

However this picture is probably my absolute favorite because, in my eyes, this was an interesting, complex, meaningful picture, I saw exactly what I wanted and made it happen.

The multiple elements, the Adobe house texture, the pole beam, the handprints and signs on the door, the US flag in the window (Native Americans are intensely patriotic and have a huge history of service and bravery in the Armed Forces) and the clouds in the window.

Like the ever-so-often perfect drive that keeps golfers trying to play, this was my 'good' picture and I return to it every so often to reinforce to myself that sometimes I actually catch one right.

Doorway on the Taos Pueblo.
I took this because of the multiple elements that reflect the traditions of Native Americans, including their ways of homebuilding, decorative arts, love of nature and history of amazing patriotism and service to the country.
