LOL ...
J'aime juste la lumiere aere de # 1 ... les deux images sont reussis ... juste un peu plus d'un gout personnel.

(I just like the light airy feel of #1 ... both images are successful ... just more of a personal taste.)

@Gary A. I give! LOL Google only goes so far!!

This was a new light set up for me. I had one light with a 7" reflector set up to bounce/skirt off the white background, with a flag setup between it and the flower to prevent spill over. The softbox was set up for flat lighting on the face of the flowers. I metered for a 1/2 stop difference in the background and the flowers. In my notes, I've noted that for next time, I think I want to either increase the angle on the background light or use a white reflector to bring more back light on the flowers.

Nice. I prefer the 2nd version and I'd take it farther. You're holding the background just shy of pure white -- let it go and then lighten the flowers more.

Walking that fine line between pure white and blown out, is making me pull my hair out. I also just notice there is a slight difference in the light on the background between the right side and the left. Is this any better?

Better, now more. It's high key against a white background. That's an exception to the "blow out rule" so take the background white. The right corner can't get whiter than white so push till the left corner is white and the background is equalized. Then if the flowers look dingy, brighten them.

Version #3, evened out the white background and just crossed the line on blowing the background. Can't go any whiter I don't think.

Better again -- now there's nothing in the background to distract. In the earlier versions the background gradation to the left corner drew attention.
