I believe I have this same lens and love it also. I just wish I had more time to take pictures. I would try to use a flash and speed up your shutter to try and get a still shot of the wings also.

Thanks for the comment! This photo has a really small dof. I do have some other photo's with more of the dragonfly in focus.
