It was the greatest trip in my life perhaps..Without much words let me say if there's anything known as "Heaven" it was there..
Hence i name it "HEAVEN THROUGH MY EYES"

Yes before it gets blown up!!!

The mammoth spring was quite a disappointment though. It's pretty much all dried up. I went there last August. I only had two days so I didn't get to make it to the other side to try my luck with wolfs. All I saw were elks and buffalos.

Hey, don't give me a fright. It better "behaves" for as long as my daughter's in NorCal!
Even though - come to think of it - when THAT happens, humanity is doomed worldwide...!

I do like the night photo here, and the grey clouds over the opalescent pool.

I think some people have a misconception about Mammoth. It's not really ever flowing all over the spring. It's highly variable and continually changing. The springs pop out and flow in different areas all the time. That travertine has been building up slowly for thousands upon thousands of years. My wife and I were out there for our honeymoon three years ago. Yellowstone is my favorite place in the U.S. Did you get to stay in the Old Faithful Inn? The best time to go is actually in May if you are willing the brave the good possibility you may get snow and a lot of the trails are closed due to heavy bear movement. We went before Memorial Day and missed the real heavy crowds and all the wildlife was just starting to move. We were fortunate enough to see a lone male wolf on the horizon a long way away. He stopped, sat down then howled and it carried across all the way to us. Still gives me chills to think about it. Glad you had a great time! I think your second shot is the best of the bunch - it has great contrast and atmosphere.

Awesome shots. Yellowstone is a beautiful place. It's def on my list of places to go and shoot.

Glad you enjoyed your trip out here. FWIW, the first shot is Lower Falls. It's a 308 ft drop and the largest waterfall in the park. Upper Falls is just upstream and is much smaller.

Very Nice! Hope to go to one day!! Specially like the opalescent pool pic. My next US trip is to Florida - hopefully more bird pics & other creatures :D

Nice shots, I was there last year in August and have similar photos, your absolutely right its beautiful out there. Im looking forward to doing it again.
