Thanks, folks.The cool tint to the first 2 is a quirk of my personal taste. I'm a film guy at heart and prefer the vintage film look. Maybe I'll play around with it.Re: the hoses, I wish they weren't there but they were. This was a spontaneous shoot with my daughter and the moment is what it is. I don't alter my photos beyond what I would do in a darkroom. Another personal quirk.

I don't think he's suggesting removing it in post, but noticeing it before you shoot next time. I also agree this shot would be better without them, but overall I like these. The color processing on 1 & 2 is pretty sweet.

Yes! I was just saying for next time to pay more attention what is in the background and remove them before you take the pic.

I totally understand what you are saying about spontaneous shoots that are really fast. I did one of those last night.

Gotcha and agreed. My subject strayed from the more carefully manicured area. Not sure what you mean by "soft," the eyes are in sharp focus with very shallow DOF. That's the point.
