DSLR with 5fps min and around £1000/$1800 mark?

i have my eyes set on the E1 because i was impressed with the quality of the prints and the price. however it only shoots 3fps and i love taking sequence shots as i do a lot of sports.

ideally i would like the Nikon D2H but my wallet won't agree with me there. any other suggestions? preferably nikon...

Canon Eos 20D is the only one in your price range. It's going for $1500 I think.

i knew there would be a canon mentioned! i think i will actually have to consider changing camera makes and just invest in new lenses. ah well

Well, you can always sell your other equipment to help make up the loss.

The Nikon D70 is relatively fast. I can't remember exactly how fast though. Check dpreview.com for specs.
