DVD+R or DVD-R

does anyone know the differnece between a DVD+R and a DVD-R disc?

They are just different standards. I just bought a DVD player that can read both because the +R's tend to be a little cheaper.

DVD-R is a more common standard in DVD players. Playstation2 DVD players won't read DVD+R's. But in essence they are just different standards (like French and English are different language standards)

I use DVD-Rs for all of the wedding videos I burn. They seem to work better in most standard or older DVD players.
