Well, I got busy and didn't make the hike to the eagles nest until yesterday....mostly cloudy skies, so no gorgeous blue background, but the even light did NOT disappoint..
And I got a photo with THREE little eaglet heads!!!...WOOHOO!
Last year I captured the same nest with 3 completely black eaglets the last days of February....this set of triplets still have some grey downy grey feather yet to shed...so I figure they're about a month later than last years triplets
There were two carcasses under the nest, one was a snow goose, the other, unknown, but picked to the bone!
I was there for two hours after one parent left to go gather food for the kiddos....it never returned, and the remaining parent was getting cramps and stretching.. LOLOL...(I'm just making that stuff up, but I was tired of standing, cuz I forgot my tripod stool)....and the kiddos were cranky!
