It appears like there was a mix of light, possibly a window and some incandescent. That makes things a little challenging. If you have a Speedlight I would use it to bounce flash off the ceiling and overpower the ambient light. There are other things you can do to mix the flash with the ambeint light using gels, but overpowering it would be the easiest.
They look a little bit on the soft side to me (camera shake from slow shutter speed possibly?)
In general I suggest some flash to fill in the dark areas. If you have a speed light then use that bounced off the ceiling.
What equipment and settings (shutter speed, ISO, etc.) were you using?
