Easter Photo Shoot with my Daughter.....

Got some time to head out to a local park and try out some new things, namely my Sigma 18-250mm lens (thanks PhotoX) and some off camera flash work. Let me know what you think of the results. (Sorry there are so many.)

Overall I am happy with the results. Working with an 18mo is just that, work. Add in trying to get an off camera flash set up and you now have a full time job. I had the flash firing at between 1/4 and 1/16th (single SB-600, bare), all shots with the flash were taken at 1/200s shutter. I fought my wife tooth and nail on the selective coloring but finally had to give in on one shot (if it was up to her, the only color you would see would be the flowers and eggs in every shot

). I think it works somewhat in the photo I chose due to the fact that she is covering her face any way... I thought, whats the harm? I know Bitter will like it.

Please let me know what you think of these shots, more importantly on the off camera flash set- I know I may have done some things wrong there and want to improve.

What did you use as the trigger for the SB600?

on pictures 1 and 2 your little princess is squinting due to the sun, I would have moved around if you could.

Beautiful daughter, go out there and take more pictures, she will not be litle long. Capture and treasure these moments.

the first set was taken in full natural light, no flash. The second set (with the dress on) was taken with flash, triggered using CLS (commander/slave mode). I hope to order some radio triggers soon and add another SB-600 flash.
