Eastern Bluebird

[Winona]

The male bluebird and swallows were trying to decide who would get which box. It’s funny they like the ones closest to the house and barn. Maybe safer from predators. Or they like the grass mowed versus tall grasses in the fields? As I was hanging a box to replace a rotted one, the swallows were bombarding me -I couldn’t hang it quick enough to suit them.

I don’t like the bright tree in the background, but oh well.

Nice shot of a very pretty bird. I don't see them a lot around here but they are around. One of my favorites to photograph. The tree I can ignore.

Yeah, cool looking specimen and well composed. Good use of the frame and dead space.
