i was just told thru flickr that the bird i thought was a tree swallow is a eastern kingbird first time I've seen one

Thanks he jump to chase a bug just as i took the shot lucky it turned out as clear as it did thats the best one i have gotten so far he sat for 5 minutes just barely behind three branches witch made the pics turn blurry

Im not sure about that. kingbirds have a crest. They are noticeably bigger than Swallows. Yours could be, hard to tell.

it might have its crest down looked up some pictures online of the eastern kingbird and half the time there crest is down
