Editing critique please.

Hello everyone,

Could I please get a critique on my editing for these two photos please and thank you.

In this photo I added the light coming off the lamp post.

Pretty cool image (#1) it appears towering. The light is a bit too direct and not really realistic but the image is sort of surreal anyway and it is kind of fitting.

Looks very fake and I see a lot of edges where editing is obvious. Around the light in the first, around the head of the object in the second.

Also, the picture itself is kinda meh.

I would suggest worry more about composition and less about editing tricks.

Light travels in straight lines. Interesting ideas, but your your editing is a little rough, and your grasp of what the final picture should look like is, I think, rougher.
