I played with the curves and reduced the saturation a little:

What it has too much of is space on either side.
That featureless expanse should be trimmed, I think

It really helps us give editing C&C if the before, unedited photo, and after editing photo are posted, and you explain what edits you did and what editing tools you used.

It would also help if you chose a photo editing preference for your profile - My Photos Are NOT OK to Edit or My Photos Are OK to Edit.

Editing the sharpness and contrast were mentioned.
There are many sharpening techniques, and depending on the graphics application you're using there may be several tool options and tool setting options.
Photoshop CC has more tool options and toll setting options that Lightroom 5 or Photoshop Elements does.

Contrast can be applied globally or locally to the high lights, the low lights, the mid tones, or somewhere in between.
