Photos OK to edit
So I took multiple shots of each object.
Brought it down to one each and I'm still not really satisfied.
I'm sorry that there are so many in this post though...

I really like the 1st one,
and the one of the perfume bottle ^-^

They all appear to be on the noisy side, especially 1, 3, and 5.
Shadows are everywhere
Focus is quite soft on 1 and 5
And they all look a tad underexposed.

What camera are you shooting with? Is it a P&S?

Not close to a professional opinion. Take it or leave it :D

It's a Sony DSC-S85, definitely not the kind of camera I would LIKE to be using.

It's definitely an input and I'll take what I can get :) Thank you!

I liked the golden neclase, but, as the borther have already told you, there is a lots of noise... Try to take picture without digital zoom...

DisasterDan, My problem though, with this camera, is that I am very frustrated with it. ha, so the "fairly good" pictures I'm taking, I want to be better :D

Auriflanos, I actually did not zoom in any of these...
This camera and zooming doesn't work out well, they don't normally come out.

A perfect example of why a camera DOES matter.

That aside, there are other issues... some sort of dirt or something in 5, various distracting background issues, in some cases the "item" needed to be cleaned, the color balance seems to be off in a lot of these, etc. The devil is in the details.

When you take pictures close up like these are you using the "MACRO" feature your camera has? It looks like a little flower symbol on the back of the camera. Page 61 in the users manual. It may help.

Very good ! 1,3,5 & 6 look nice.

I think 3 is your strongest, the noise actually fits the image really well.

Of course a better camera would have netted you a better quality of picture, but as others said, there are some other things for you to work on. Your backdrop is rather wrinkly/dirty, you clipped the right edge of the rose in 6, and the composition of #1 is kind of bland compared to the rest.

Keep it up! Keep working on compositional aspects of photography while you have this camera, so when you upgrade that part will be taken care of!

#3 is my favorite - the extra noise adds to the texture of the picture. gives it a raw/antique look. not sure if that was intended but it worked for me.
#1 and #4 are very elegant.

Yes for #3 that was intended

Camera definitely does matter ha.. some people have tried to tell me different... Although yes I know that this camera is capable of taking good pictures, just not the best. haha

The macro probably would have worked here huh :p
I didn't know this camera had that ha thanks!

:)
