Egg Laying Season

[Dean_Gretsch]

Every year I come across snapping turtles in the middle of laying their eggs. Usually, raccoons, ravens or some other creature will find the nest and dig the eggs up and eat them before they can hatch. I hope this one's offspring will make it. I didn't notice she only has one eye until I got home and started editing.

Cool subject Dean! If there was a one eyed snapping turtle photo challenge, I think you would win hands down!
