Taken in February, during breeding season. This guy ventured near the parking lot, and made quite a display in a small pool.

EDIT: New:

Nice shot. Elephant Seal are wonderfully entertaining ... when they eventually move. :cool-48:

They are indeed interesting, especially when moving about as this one is...

I noticed a definite color cast of blue to the image. Yours on the left, my edit on the right. It is an easy fix in Photoshop if you use that and will explain if you wish.

Could you show me what you did? Is it just a simple color balance? I was playing around with saturation and color balance and I think I gravitated towards a bluer cast, but I like your edit when looking side by side.

Closer but try this instead: Go to the top Menu Bar and Select "IMAGE." Scroll down to "MATCH COLOR." When you click on that you will get a dialog box as shown in Image #2 "NEUTRALIZE." Easy as pie.

He was moving a lot; I think he felt kind of trapped, since he had ventured on a populated beach.

Nice pose.
Thanks, I had a lot more but I settled on this one.
