I've noticed that a lot of people are uploading full size JPEGs either straight from their camera or exported at full size from their raw handling application.
Is there any way to implement a scaling feature or a lossless resizing method (codec?)
It's ridiculous and unnecessary to upload 3xxx by 5xxxPx images to the forum. I am not entirely sure why people do it, other than for the sheer fact that they CAN do it.
It really whores up the bandwidth and even crashes mobile apps when dealing with images of such dimensions. Perhaps even a notice or sticky regarding the appropriate image sizes for upload.
I am sure this also has to use up a lot of server space on the back end. It also makes it tough to give C&C when you cant view an image.
Thoughts?
