Emerald Crab

I tore down my reef aquarium last June, but I kept all of the equipment. When I finally got around to cleaning the equipment a couple weeks ago I was surprised to find an Emerald Crab (Mithrax sp.) in one of the filters. Rather than throw it away, I decided to take some photos of it with my 50mm 1:1 macro lens.

This image was made with 24 stacked frames (I think at f/8). The crab is 1 1/8" across in real life.

Nice work on the stacking, I have yet to get that into doing it.
