Enterprise on it's way past Manhattan

I went up to my roof today, just to get a glimpse of the Enterprise as it flew piggyback on a 747 around Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn. Here it is getting ready to pass the Financial District, and the new 1 WTC (Freedom Tower).

Nice. Sure wish the Shuttle/747 were a little bigger so these tired old eyes could see them better. I'm sure it will become a treasured photo.

It's hard to believe that with the retirement of the shuttle program, the USA has no real space program. :meh:
