Equipment Ideas Needed for Panoramas

Hello, all. Been reading this forum for a while and this is my first post.

I've been given the task of making virtual tours for my day-job and they purchased me the Kolor stitching and tour making programs and now it's time to get better equipment. I'm also going to be making virtual tours as a side job for houses, car dealerships, etc.

I'm looking for the best all-around package. An affordable camera that will do well shooting in small areas and in large rooms/outdoor spaces, a mount that will do well in most conditions and decrease time needed and what lens (if necessary). The plan is to offer gigapixel high definition tours, so image quality is important. All these tours will need to be spheres for full 360x180.

I believe that because of my request for image quality, a motorized head will be needed.

Okay. I've purchased the Panogear from Kolor.com for my head and I am purchasing the Canon EOS Rebel T2i camera.

Can anyone give me their recommendations on the best tripod to use with these? I'm looking for something with a small footprint as I'll be doing sphere panoramas with these.
