Thank you. Many people get on the coaches from Queenstown and Te Anau to get to Milford Sound and miss so much because they are on a journey to see the Sound. As wonderful as Milford Sound is (and it is) nothing had me more in wonder than the journey down the road the first time I did it last year. Anyone planning to go, should definitely do it independently and take their time on the journey to and fro, and possibly book into one of the lodges at Milford itself. The journey is at least as good as the destination if not more so.
