The green is a result of higher than average temps in December that has created unusual algae blooms on our little pond. Sometimes there are Cormorants here, or Egrets and the occasional Heron. But always there are Muscovy's and Mallards and they provide great amounts of entertainment when they fly and land.

Did you pose these once before? I feel like I've seen the top 2 already.
The 2nd shot is nice with the duck skiing. Do the ducks turn green at all from the algae?

Never posted these until today..shot three hours ago. I shoot ducks whenever I get a chance as I find them quite entertaining. No green ducks in our pond.

Are these shot with your Nikon 200 -500? The first 4 don't seem as sharp as everything else you have been posting from it.

It is with the 200-500 @ 500mm. Panned at 1/500 and while they don't look like they are moving particularly fast, a Muscovy at full charge is faster than an Egret or Heron in landing mode. I was amazed that I got so much water splash detail in the third shot at 1/500.

Nice set! I like #3 the best. :)
